On Sunday, July 30th at 1808 hours, Hannawa Falls Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to 6119 State Highway 56 for a two car motor vehicle accident with lines down and across the roadway. When Hannawa Falls arrived on scene they requested Potsdam Fire for traffic control on the other side of the incident due to not being able to get to it. Hannawa Falls requested for Potsdam Fire to shut down traffic at the intersection of State Highway 56 & State Highway 72. Potsdam Fire was dispatched to the call at 1825 hours and Rescue 14 responded at 1837 hours.

Potsdam firefighters shut down the road at the intersection of State Highway 56 & State Highway 72 at 1839 hours and performed traffic control for several hours. Potsdam Fire was back in service at 0017 hours.
